Why Chugach Contracting
Two systems we deploy specifically for building in Alaska
Material Harvesting
Inventory Verification
Sourcing materials from trusted suppliers across Alaska and the Lower 48, coordinating specialty orders and freight well before constructions begins.
Before construction begins, every material is verified and inventoried to help minimize delays, reduce costly reorders, and keep your project moving efficiently from start to finish.
Quality isn't something we aim for. It's how we operate.
The craftsmanship, professionalism, and attention to detail were exceptional. This was a major remodel, and they exceeded my expectations at every step!

Our Process
1. Consultation, Estimate, and Proposal
Every successful remodel starts with a conversation. We'll meet at your home to evaluate existing conditions and discuss your vision, budget, and timeline. Then you'll receive a detailed written proposal before any work begins.
2. Designs, Selections, & Material Harvesting
We finalize your layout, cabinetry, countertops, and all finish selections, then begin Material Harvesting, a planning system built specifically for building in Alaska. We source materials from trusted suppliers across Alaska and the Lower 48, coordinating specialty orders and long lead-time items well in advance.
3. Permits, Ordering, & Inventory
We obtain required permits and verify every cabinet, fixture, and finish material has arrived before demolition begins, helping eliminate delays from missing parts or backorders, especially given Alaska's shipping challenges.
4. Site Protection & Demolition
Before demolition begins, we protect the surrounding home and establish a clean, organized work area. Existing materials are carefully removed, debris is managed, and the space is prepared for construction while minimizing dust and disruption to the rest of your home.
5. Structural, Plumbing, & Electrical
Once the space is opened up, we complete the behind-the-walls work needed for the new design. This may include framing, structural modifications, plumbing, electrical, ventilation, insulation, and coordination with specialty trades to ensure everything is properly installed before finishes begin.
6. Finish Installation
Now the transformation begins. Cabinets, countertops, tile, flooring, and all finish details are installed with craftsmanship and attention to detail. This is where your vision truly comes to life.
7. Final Walkthrough
Before considering the project complete, we walk the finished space together to make sure every detail meets your expectations and address any remaining punch-list items.
8. Warranty & Ongoing Support
We stand behind our workmanship. Every completed project includes our one-year workmanship warranty, and we're only a phone call away if questions come up after the job is done.
OUR RECENT PROJECTS

CUSTOM EAGLE RIVER KITCHEN REMODEL
This Eagle River kitchen wasn't just updated, it was reimagined from the ground up. We worked through a custom layout, relocated plumbing and gas lines, and installed KitchenAid appliances along with 1,200 sq ft of luxury vinyl tile.
The new space includes custom cabinetry, an island with built-in power, and engineered stone countertops built to last. It's the kind of project our team takes a lot of pride in.

CHUGIAK MASTER BATHROOM REMODEL
This Chugiak master bathroom got a full overhaul. Custom Kohler Archer tub, Delta matte black fixtures, and a Noble niche with built-in LED lighting. We handled everything from professional Schluter waterproofing to all-new electrical, plus hand-mosaiced river rock accents for a little extra character.
Custom granite countertops, Allure LVP flooring, all built to last.

INTERIOR REMODEL
This Airbnb vacation rental was built to impress from the start. We took it from plans to fully furnished, Anderson windows, Bruce hardwood floors, a gas fireplace, and a custom barn door give the space real character.
Custom kitchen cabinets, granite countertops, and a fully tiled shower with in-floor heat round things out, comfortable and good-looking. This was a full design-build project. Marble vanity, interior design, all the works, finished and furnished and ready to go.

ROOFING, DOORS, & WINDOWS
Sometimes the biggest impact comes from the outside in. We replaced this home's roof with a durable metal system, swapped in fresh new windows, and added a new exterior door.
Simple upgrades, but the kind that boost curb appeal and protect your home for decades.

Bryan, owner of Chugach Contracting was my Landlord for several years. The remodel in his rental I chose was beautiful. While living in his rental and watching many of the maintenance projects around the property, I was sold on his talent. After purchasing my own home, I now call Chugach Contracting exclusively for any projects around the house. They have never let me down.
